History of Central Jersey Trailer and Hitch
1989 – Foundation
Central Jersey Trailer & Hitch, LLC was founded in September 1989 in Bridgewater, New Jersey. What began as a modest side business operating out of a garage quickly grew due to dedication and craftsmanship. Initially, the founder provided trailer services for his brother and friends, which soon expanded into a full-fledged enterprise.
1990s – Growth & Challenges
As the business flourished, we moved operations to a small building in the town over, located next to the local fire department. This location served us well for many years, even as we faced significant challenges, including severe flooding events like Hurricane Floyd, which brought over 13 feet of water into the facility. These experiences tested our resilience but also reinforced our commitment to serving our community.
Early 2000s – New Location
In the early 2000s, recognizing the need for a more secure and spacious facility, we relocated to our current location in Somerville, New Jersey. Despite facing additional floods, with water levels ranging from 15 inches to 4 feet, we have continually rebuilt and improved our infrastructure to better serve our customers.
